Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse Triage (RN) for our General Surgery division in Naperville, IL. The role involves phone triage, patient education, glucose monitor management, and referrals, with some travel to other locations and flexible hours to meet operations.

Requires IL RN licensure and AHA CPR certification; BSN preferred. Position is full-time with standard office hours and benefits; lifting and physical stamina are required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with supervisor to assess caller needs and provide education and referrals.
• Manage patient needs with acute and preventative interventions.
• Maintain exam rooms; assist with insurance pre-authorization.

Job description

Hourly Pay Range:

$33.96 - $52.64 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $35.15 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October.

Position Highlights:

Position: Registered Nurse Triage (RN) - General Surgery

Location: 1948 Three Farms, Naperville, IL

Full Time: 40 hours / week

Office Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM -5:00 PM.

Travel Required: This role includes some travel to other locations and requires flexible hours to meet operational needs.

What you will do:

Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Triage Nurse is a Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for patient care needs through the use of inbound and outbound telephone practice. The Triage Nurse continuously demonstrates positive customer relationship skills by assessing caller needs through active listening, clinical assessment, education and advanced problem-solving abilities. The Triage Nurse will actively manage patient's immediate and ongoing needs with attention to acute and preventative intervention. Duties include: phone triage, patient education and continuous Glucose Monitor placement, testing, insurance pre-authorization and referrals, clean and stock exam rooms.

What you will need:

• Current Illinois RN licensure
• Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association (AHA)
• Office RN and BSN preferred
• Self-starter, able to handle periods of high stress
• Prolonged periods of standing/walking/sitting/bending/reaching/climbing and repetitive use of hands
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs. and carry/push up to 20 lbs.
• Able to effectively communicate in English, both written & verbal
