Job summary

Endeavor Health in Arlington Heights, IL seeks a Registered Nurse Triage to support the General Surgery Medical Group. This full-time RN performs inbound/outbound triage, patient education, and monitors immediate and ongoing needs with emphasis on acute and preventive care.

Office hours are Mon-Fri, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, with occasional travel to surrounding offices. The role requires IL RN licensure, CPR certification, and strong communication, with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois RN licensure.
• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers.
• Office RN and BSN preferred.
• Self-starter, able to handle periods of high stress.
• Prolonged periods of standing/walking/sitting/bending/reaching/climbing and repetitive use of hands.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs. and carry/push up to 20 lbs.
• Able to effectively communicate in English, both written & verbal.

Responsibilities

• Phone triage, patient education and Continuous Glucose Monitor placement, testing, insurance pre-authorization and referrals, clean and stock exam rooms.

Hourly Pay Range:

$33.96 - $52.64 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $35.15 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Registered Nurse Triage (RN) - General Surgery Medical Group
• Location: Arlington Heights, IL
• Full Time: 40 hours / week
• Office Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
• Travel Required: Floating locations to surrounding offices for coverage

What you will do:

Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Triage Nurse is a Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for patient care needs through the use of inbound and outbound telephone practice. The Triage Nurse continuously demonstrates positive customer relationship skills by assessing caller needs through active listening, clinical assessment, education and advanced problem-solving abilities. The Triage Nurse will actively manage patient's immediate and ongoing needs with attention to acute and preventative intervention. Duties include: phone triage, patient education and Continuous Glucose Monitor placement, testing, insurance pre-authorization and referrals, clean and stock exam rooms.
