Job summary

Sprenger Health Care is seeking a registered nurse to join Smithville Western Care Center in Wooster, OH. The RN will monitor residents, perform rounds, and ensure timely follow-up actions under physician orders.

You will supervise nursing assistants, report health changes to the physician and nursing supervisor, and document weekly progress notes as part of standard care. Competitive wages and comprehensive benefits are offered.

• Licensed registered nurse (RN) in Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Obtain report and implement follow-up actions as necessary for residents' treatment needs.
• Conduct resident rounds to assess skin condition and take required follow-up actions.
• Instruct nursing assistants in preventive safety measures and use of adaptive equipment.
• Assess and report changes in resident condition to physicians and supervisors and take follow-up action.
• Administer treatments per physician orders and document progress notes weekly.

Essential Job Functions

• Obtain report and implement appropriate follow-up action as necessary in relation to the resident’s treatment needs.


• Conduct resident rounds as assigned to assess and report the skin condition of each resident, and take necessary follow up action.


• Instruct nursing assistants in proper, preventive safety measures and use of adaptive equipment to meet the needs of each resident.


• Assess and report changes in resident’s condition to physician, nursing supervisor and responsible party and to take follow up action as necessary.


• Administer treatments according to physician’s orders, to accurately record treatment performed, and to keep weekly progress notes.
