Job summary

Good Samaritan seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide individualized nursing care using the nursing process for residents at Canistota Center in Canistota, SD. The role includes coordination with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to plan and evaluate care.

Responsibilities include supervising care, delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff, and ensuring safe, high-quality nursing practice per state rules and the ANA Code of Ethics.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA. Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practice is occurring; multistate licensure if in an NLC state.

Responsibilities

• The RN provides individualized nursing care using the nursing process to residents and collaborates with residents, families and inter-disciplinary teams.
• Coordinates care, resident assessment and education, and performs nursing interventions across all phases of care.
• May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to staff while maintaining safety and quality of care.
