Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse to join the Trauma Progressive Care Unit at Temple, TX. This 36-hour per week night shift position offers exposure to a high-acuity trauma patient mix on a 38-bed Telemetry Unit and opportunities for professional growth.

Ideal candidates will be ADN graduate with active RN license and BLS certification, ready to contribute to a collaborative, evidence-based care environment and participate in ongoing education and quality

Qualifications

Graduate of RN School of Nursing
ADN degree required
Active RN License
BLS certification or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer

Responsibilities

Provide patient care on a 38-bed Telemetry Monitored Nursing Unit (5 North) for adults and geriatrics.
Care for post-ICU trauma patients and a range of surgical specialties including bariatric, colorectal, thoracic, urology, neurosurgery, vascular and general surgery.

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse to join our Trauma Progressive Care Unit. Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin.
Schedule: Full Time – 36 hours per week - Nights
Location: Temple, TX
Unit SummaryThis is a 38-bed Telemetry Monitored Nursing Unit. Working on 5 North gives you the unique opportunity to work with both Adults and Geriatrics. Working on 5 North, you can expect your clinical skills to become greater than ever imagined due to the high acuity of patients and verities of scope which include:

Post ICU Trauma patients (serious injury to 2 or more body systems)
Traumatic Intra-Thoracic injury, intrabdominal injury, and complex fractures
Traumatic Musculoskeletal Wounds
Complex Cholecystectomy and Appendectomy
Bariatric Surgery
Colorectal Surgery (bowel malignancies, inflammatory bowel disease)
Thoracic Surgeries- lobectomy, Esophagostomy
Urology- Prostatectomy
Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, General Surgery
