Job summary

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical Surgical Trauma Unit on the full-time night shift (7p–7a) in a 23-bed unit.

The role delivers care using the Nursing Process, assesses and plans, intervenes, and evaluates outcomes while ensuring age-appropriate safety and infection control. Requires RN licensure and BCLS. Email [e-mail] for applications.

Qualifications

• Must hold an RN license and be eligible to practice in Texas.
• RN residency or 1 year of RN experience preferred for the trauma unit.
• Strong foundation in nursing process, patient safety, and clinical skills.
• Ability to work nights and rotating weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient and plans the care accordingly.
• Intervenes as appropriate and evaluates outcomes.
• Ensures age-specific safety and infection control throughout care.
• Maintains continuity of patient care across shifts and transfers.
• Manages cardiac-focused care and drips as needed.
