Job summary

Methodist Hospital Specialty and Transplant in Texas is seeking an Abdominal Transplant Coordinator I. The role is a professional registered nurse coordinating evaluation and post-transplant care within a multidisciplinary team to ensure smooth patient flow and continuity of care.

The incumbent supports patients and families from evaluation through transplantation, delivering compassionate and tactful care to facilitate access and ongoing support.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Minimum two years of acute nursing experience.
• Employee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility and department/unit.
• A valid Texas RN license.
• BLS.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transplant evaluation and post-transplant care across a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide compassionate, tactful patient and family communication throughout the transplant journey.
• Facilitate access to and continuity of care from evaluation through follow-up.
• Assist with ongoing care coordination and patient education as needed.
