Job summary

University of Mississippi Medical Center seeks an RN Transplant Coordinator for Bone Marrow/solid organ transplantation. You will educate patients and families, coordinate pre- and post-transplant care, and lead multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

Required: RN license and BLS; 1+ year experience. BSN and CCTC/ACLS preferred. On-site role with on-call responsibilities and collaboration with OPOs and ICU teams.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN with at least 1 year of experience.
• BLS certification required.
• BSN preferred; CCTC and ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily clinical assessment of transplant patients across all care phases with autonomy.
• Coordinate pre-transplant evaluations to optimize use of hospital resources.
• Assess post-transplant function and determine additional interventions.
• Schedule diagnostic studies and manage costs with fiscal responsibility.
• Develop and implement standards of care for transplant patients with the team.
• Assist staff in planning and evaluating transplant patient care.
• Provide on-call coverage and coordinate donor-related activities 24/7.
• Communicate with physicians, organ procurement, and care teams to ensure timely care.
