Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• 1-3 years related work experience required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse required.
• American Heart Association – Basic Life Support Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients and makes nursing judgments; assesses health care needs and formulates a care plan with implementation and evaluation.
• Coordinates care and directs assistive personnel to ensure safe, effective, timely, patient-centered care.
• Collaborates with health professionals; communicates effectively; maintains trust and respect with patients and families.
• Maintains annual mandatory education requirements including emergency skills and unit-based competencies; seeks growth opportunities and participates in quality improvement.
• Demonstrates commitment to patients, staff, and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center; upholds patient safety and professional accountability.
