Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required.

• License: Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.
• American Heart Association – Basic Life support Certificate required.
• ACLS required for some specific clinical units.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients and makes necessary nursing judgments.
• Assess health care needs for formulation, implementation and evaluation of a care plan.
• Coordinate care and direct assistive personnel to provide patient-centered care.
• Collaborate with health professionals to determine patient and family needs.
• Educate patients and families according to care plan and discharge needs.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and educational opportunities.
