Great River Health Systems in Iowa is seeking a Transfer Center Coordinator RN to oversee the safe, timely transfer of patients within and between facilities. You will coordinate communication among transferring and receiving staff, arrange transportation, maintain documentation, ensure compliance with EMTALA and transfer regulations, and train new staff on transfer protocols.
This role requires an AA RN, 1–3 years in healthcare operations, and strong clinical assessment and multitasking
From $39.37 per hour
Scheduled Hours: 7:00pm - 7:30am, every third weekend
Facilitates the efficient transfer of patients between facilities. The Transfer Center Coordinator is a Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for coordinating the safe, timely, and efficient transfer of patients into, out, and within the healthcare system. This role serves as a central point of communication between referring facilities, physicians, nursing leadership, bed management, and ancillary departments to ensure appropriate placement of patients based on clinical needs, bed availability, and organizational capabilities. This role ensures compliance with regulations and maintains detailed records for quality assurance.
