Job summary

The University of Tennessee Health Sciences College of Nursing invites applicants for a full-time, non-tenure Instructor/Assistant Professor position. The successful candidate will lead RN to BSN teaching initiatives and supervise students in clinical settings, delivering both in-person and online didactic and clinical instruction.

Responsibilities include cross-program teaching, curriculum development, and scholarly activity in collaboration with the Department Chair; service responsibilities

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a nursing specialty from an accredited university required.
• Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree preferred.
• Unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).

Responsibilities

• Primary teaching responsibilities include RN to BSN concentration.
• Teaching responsibilities include both didactic coursework and clinical supervision of students.
• Responsibilities include undergraduate in‑person and online didactic and clinical teaching.
• Additional teaching responsibilities include teaching across programs and/or concentrations.
• Research/scholarship activities, as well as service responsibilities, will be determined in collaboration with the Department Chair.
