Qualifications

• Registered Nurse. Required
• BLS on hire required
• De‑escalation training within 6 months of hire
• Advanced dysrhythmia/EKG for Med/Surg telemetry unit only (RN) required

Responsibilities

• Completes patient assessments, formulates plan of care, oversees implementation of plan and evaluates outcomes.
• Administers medication, intravenous therapy, and treatments as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Supervises, delegates, and follows through to other personnel in nursing care.
• Mentors and precepts students and orientates new staff.
• Documents pertinent findings in medical records in a timely manner.
• Participates in discharge planning and transition of care.
• Acts as patient advocate and escalates concerns promptly.
• Maintains SBAR communication and bedside shift reporting.
