Job summary

Rivers Health is seeking a full-time RN for Swing Bed/Telemetry to provide comprehensive nursing care. Responsibilities include initial patient assessments, care planning, and ensuring quality and compliant care within hospital policies.

Graduate of a school of nursing with WV license; BCLS required. One year nursing experience preferred in the unit area. Cross-training to other units may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing with current WV license.
• BCLS certification required.
• One year nursing experience preferred in area assigned.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial assessment of patient.
• Forms a plan of care and nursing diagnosis based on the assessment.
• Assumes responsibility and accountability for overall quality of patient care.
• Ensures patient care is given according to the proficiency level of personnel while retaining accountability for duties delegated.
• Respects patient privacy rights and values of individual patients and provides care accordingly.
• Provides guidance to all personnel in their respective duties.
• Ensures cleaning, stocking, and quality control duties are accomplished.
• Performs on-going nursing assessments and updates patient plan of care.
• Participates in quality improvement activities including serving on quality improvement teams.
