Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Tradition Hospital in Port St. Lucie is seeking a registered nurse for night shift 7:00PM – 7:30AM in the Telemetry/Neurology Unit. You will monitor neurological conditions, educate patients and families, and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, ongoing development opportunities, and delivery of compassionate, patient-centered care to post-stroke patients and others in this unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (AHA or Red Cross).
• One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience.
• BSN is preferred; ACLS & NIH Stroke Scale certifications encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing protocol.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families, considering cultural issues and other concerns.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Maintain professional growth and development through ongoing education and study.
