Job summary

St. Francis Hospital, The Heart Center, part of Catholic Health Services of Long Island, is seeking a part-time RN to join the Telemetry Department Float Pool. The role requires cardiac telemetry experience and active New York RN licensure.

You will assess, monitor, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure high-quality patient care across telemetry units. A full two-week Monday–Friday orientation is mandatory.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required.
• New York RN license & registration.
• ACLS and BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant telemetry nursing experience preferred.
• Experience reading cardiac monitors preferred.

RN - Telemetry Department Float Pool (Part time position - MUST attend a full two week Monday through Friday orientation)

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and manage overall care for cardiac telemetry step down patients (including conditions such as chest pains, positive troponin, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), and arrhythmias)
• Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, registered nurses / RNs and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support and education.

Requirements

• Passion for Cardiology
• 1+ years of experience
• Experience reading cardiac monitors preferred
• Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
• Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
• Certification: ACLS and BLS required from the American Heart Association

Salary Range

USD $58.16 - USD $83.99 /Hr.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
