Job summary

St. Francis Hospital, The Heart Center® is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for Telemetry. This role, part of Catholic Health, oversees daily patient care and nursing operations on a shift, guiding staff to maintain high-quality telemetry services.

Required are a BSN, NY RN license, ACLS/BLS, and at least one year of related clinical experience; management experience is preferred. Proficiency in Word and Excel, plus data collection and analysis, is expected.

Qualifications

  • BSN required.
  • Minimally one year related clinical experience required.
  • RN Licensed professional nurse in the State of New York.
  • ACLS and BLS certified from the American Heart Association.
  • Management experience preferred.
  • Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Competent in data collection and analysis and the application of statistical tools.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for daily patient care and personnel activities on an assigned shift.
  • Responsible for the delivery of nursing care related to the care of the geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric and neonatal patients.
  • Interprets the Philosophy and Objectives of the Nursing Department, together with the NCC and members of Nursing Department and Hospital Management.
  • Coordinates unit activities for a given shift, by facilitating a stable and organized work environment through leadership, direction and delegation to provide and maintain quality nursing care.
  • Coordinates and supervises in the interest of the Hospital, unit personnel activities on assigned shifts by promoting staff growth and development, participating in the evaluation process and counseling procedures, and determining and effectuating management decisions with respect to hiring, discipline, evaluations of performance and the direction and assignment of staff.
  • Demonstrates educational and experimental qualifications in nursing practice; demonstrates the ability to guide, direct and influence the value and behavior of others.
  • Enhances staff development through facilitation of the orientation process, involvement in staff meetings and as a direct resource person

Salary Range

USD $59.04 - USD $85.92 /Hr.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
