GENERAL OVERVIEW:

The Internal Staffing Team Registered Nurse assesses human responses and plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for individuals or families. The nurse is fully responsible for all actions as a licensed professional and accountable for the quality of care delivered.

The AHN Internal Staffing Team (IST) is an inpatient travel team rotating across all AHN hospitals in Pennsylvania, including:

• Allegheny General Hospital
• Allegheny Valley Hospital
• Canonsburg Hospital
• Forbes Hospital
• Jefferson Hospital
• West Penn Hospital
• Wexford Hospital
• AHN Grove City
• St. Vincent Hospital

The inpatient team includes Registered Nurses working in:

• Critical Care
• Telemetry/Med Surg
• Emergency Medicine

Members will receive a premium pay rate.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide leadership within a professional practice setting.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum:

• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Background Check
• American Heart Association CPR certification
• Current PA RN licensure or multi-state license via eNLC

Preferred:

• At least two years of acute care hospital experience
• Previous travel nursing experience
• Experience with multiple patient populations
• Specialty certification
• One year of travel nursing experience
