Job Description

The AHN Internal Staffing Team (IST) is an inpatient travel team rotating across all AHN hospitals in Pennsylvania, including Allegheny General Hospital, Allegheny Valley Hospital, Canonsburg Hospital, Forbes Hospital, Jefferson Hospital, West Penn Hospital, Wexford Hospital, AHN Grove City, and St. Vincent Hospital.

The inpatient team includes Registered Nurses working in Critical Care, Telemetry/Med Surg, or Emergency Medicine. Members will receive a premium rate.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and contribute to team success through role modeling and mentoring.
• Assign or delegate tasks based on patient needs and staff skill levels.
• Maintain a safe environment and consider patient condition and intervention complexity.
• Offer feedback and share knowledge with peers.
• Participate in interdisciplinary teams and promote patient safety initiatives.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate patient care.
• Assess health status, respond to changes, and document interventions.
• Work rotating shifts with 24/7 coverage, demonstrating effective time management.

Qualifications

Minimum

• Act 34, 33, and 73 Clearances
• CPR from American Heart Association
• Current PA RN license or multi-state license via eNLC

Preferred

• At least two years of acute care RN experience
• Previous travel nursing experience
• Specialty certifications and experience with multiple patient populations

Compensation
