The AHN Internal Staffing Team (IST) is an inpatient travel team rotating across multiple hospitals in Pennsylvania, including Allegheny General, Valley, Canonsburg, Forbes, Jefferson, West Penn, Wexford, Grove City, and St. Vincent hospitals. The team includes RNs working in Critical Care, Telemetry/Med Surg, and Emergency Medicine, with premium pay rates.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and contribute to team success through role modeling and mentoring.
• Delegate tasks based on patient needs and staff skill levels.
• Maintain a safe environment and consider patient complexity and outcomes.
• Share knowledge and provide feedback to peers.
• Participate in interdisciplinary evaluations and quality initiatives.
• Supervise delegated tasks and evaluate scope of practice.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate patient care.
• Assess health status and respond to changes, notifying physicians as needed.
• Work rotating shifts with 24/7 coverage, managing time effectively.

Qualifications

Minimum: Act 34, 33, 73 clearances, CPR certification, current PA RN license or multi-state license (eNLC).

Preferred: 2+ years acute care experience, travel experience, specialty certification, 1+ year travel nursing experience.
