Job summary

Mercy Medical Center Redding, part of the CommonSpirit Health network, is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The RN will perform assessments, develop and implement care plans, educate patients and families, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes. California RN license and ACLS/BLS are required, with a BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing required
• Current California RN license required
• One year of hospital nursing experience or equivalent; opportunities for less experienced candidates
• ACLS and BLS certifications required (American Heart Association)
• Strong verbal and written communication and computer skills

Responsibilities

• Performs routine physical and psychosocial assessments following the care plan and guidelines.
• Forms a plan of care for individual patient needs and coordinates with care teams.
• Adapts education to patient and family by adjusting teaching strategies.
• Ensures efficiency by prioritizing care delivery and offering problem-solving.
• Makes independent clinical decisions based on knowledge and experience.
