Job summary

Mercy Medical Center Redding is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care across the patient care continuum. The role involves performing comprehensive assessments and executing individualized nursing plans within an interdisciplinary team to support optimal patient outcomes.

The incumbent will hold a California RN license with an Associate degree in nursing, ACLS/BLS certifications, and strong communication.

Qualifications

Associate degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing required
Current California RN license required
One (1) year of recent hospital experience and/or previous nursing practice experience required
Basic ACLS and BLS certifications required (American Heart Association)
Verbal and written communication skills and computer skill required

Responsibilities

Performs routine physical/psychosocial assessment to collect basic data
Formulates a plan of care for individual needs and participates in routine transitional health care planning
Adapts educational programs to individual patients and families during care delivery
Ensures efficiency in the delivery of care and prioritizes immediate needs
Makes independent clinical decisions based on education and experience
Advocates for patient rights and seeks resolution for conflicts
