Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Telemetry Unit in Thousand Oaks, CA. This 13-week contract position requires a California RN license, ACLS/BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and telemetry proficiency. The unit supports cardiac and neuro patients with 30 beds and upcoming overflow beds.

The role involves patient care on telemetry, post-procedure management, IV therapy, and EMR documentation, with a strong team of RNs and clinical support.

Qualifications

• Current California RN license is required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification is preferred or required per role.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies.
• Care for patients post-heart cath, pacemaker, ablation, watchman, valve repair, and cardioversion procedures.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide high-quality care.
• Document accurately in the EMR system.

Job Description

The Telemetry Unit is dedicated to providing exceptional care to cardiac and neuro patients. The unit currently has 30 beds, with plans to open an additional 12 overflow beds. Our strong team of 50 core registered nurses is committed to excellent patient outcomes and compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies.
• Care for patients post-heart cath, pacemaker, ablation, watchman, valve repair, and cardioversion procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to provide high-quality care.
• Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license in the state of California.
• ACLS certification.
• BLS certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification.
• Proficient in EKG interpretation, IV start, and chest tube management.
