Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking an experienced RN for Telemetry in Illinois for a 13-week assignment. The role requires a current Illinois RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and 2 years of telemetry experience. Shifts are 12 hours with day rotations; weekend and holiday coverage included.

Knowledge of stroke care, post-heart catheterization care, and common diagnoses like ACS and heart failure is preferred. Ability to manage drips and use Meditech is important for daily operations in this acute unit.

Qualifications

• 2 years of recent telemetry nursing experience.

• Must have ability to manage titratable drips and monitor telemetry strips.

Responsibilities

• Provide telemetry nursing care in a high-acuity unit.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and arrhythmias.
• Administer medications and IV drips per protocol.
• Collaborate with charge nurses and care team to coordinate patient care.
• Sign off on telemetry strips and document care in the chart.

Description:

Department: Telemetry nursing unit.

This role requires knowledge of common diagnoses, including stroke, congestive heart failure, acute coronary syndrome, and coronary artery disease.Experience in post-heart catheterization care and arrhythmias is essential.Nurse-to-patient ratios are 4-5 during the day and 5-6 at night.Charge nurses carry a patient assignment, and nurse aides are available based on unit acuity.Experience with BiPAP and high-flow oxygen equipment is valuable.Shifts are 12 hours, with day and night rotations, including weekends and holidays.Floating to other departments may be required based on scope.Scrub color is flexible.Nurses must be able to sign off on telemetry strips and be familiar with common titratable drips.Team collaboration is essential for patient care on this acute care unit.
