Job summary

Universal Health Services in McAllen, Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse responsible for managing patients with medical conditions or surgical procedures, and for leading the nursing team in accordance with facility policies.

The RN will provide safe, competent nursing care, supervise nursing staff, and collaborate with hospital departments to address patient care concerns. Weekend, holiday, evening, night, and on-call work may be required.

Qualifications

• Texas RN license required; BSN preferred.
• Must possess ADN/BSN/Diploma from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS certification required and maintained.
• ARC/AHA certifications (CPR/BCLS, ACLS) must be current as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients admitted or seen for medical conditions or surgical procedures, providing safe, competent nursing care.
• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Oversee and guide nursing staff under supervision and coordinate with hospital departments.
• Interact with staff to address patient care concerns and contribute to resolutions.
• May require weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, and/or on-call status.
