Job Overview

Position Details

• Hours: 36 hours/week, Monday-Friday, variable hours, call required
• Location: UNC Medical Center, Chapel Hill
• Environment: Level one trauma, 26 operating rooms, advanced surgical procedures including open-heart surgeries, organ transplants, and robotic surgeries

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Licensed Registered Nurse in North Carolina
• Professional certification relevant to the practice area
• 18 months of professional nursing experience in a tertiary care setting

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical nursing care and leadership in the operating room
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care and promote best practices
• Develop and implement educational programs for staff and patients
• Assist in HR management, staffing, and performance evaluations
• Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives
