Job summary

The Jewish Board in Bronx and Brooklyn is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive nursing care and supervise LPNs, AMAP and milieu counselors. The RN will ensure compliance with NYS regulations and JBFCS policies while supporting diverse populations.

Responsibilities include nursing assessments, care planning, coordinating health services, and training staff in medication administration and infection control. Proficiency with electronic health records is essential.

Qualifications

• Active NYS RN license required.
• Managerial experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care as prescribed by physician/Nurse Practitioner.
• Use nursing process for ongoing health assessments.
• Perform nursing assessments by direct physical examination.
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans updated annually or with significant changes.
• Coordinate all acute and ongoing health services as needed.
• Monitor health status, labs, and treatment efficacy; communicate results to clinicians.
• Ensure accurate, timely nursing documentation in patient records.
• Provide health education to clients and their support system.
• Train staff in nursing tasks, protective and preventive health measures.
• Interview and assess candidates for RN and LPN positions.
• Supervise scheduling and hours of LPN staff.
• Maintain training curriculums and testing records.
• Work with electronic health records and care coordination interfaces.
• Participate in Interdisciplinary Team (IDT); on-call availability.
• All other duties as assigned.
