CGH Clinics in Dixon, IL seeks an experienced RN to oversee operations, coordinate patient care, and supervise nursing staff within the clinic setting.

Qualifications

  • Current Illinois Registered Nurse Licensure.
  • Knowledge of PCIS and EMR; communicate changes to staff.
  • Three years Medical Office experience preferred.
  • BLS within 30 days of hire; ACLS for Oral Surgery.
  • Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding.
  • Ability to document patient needs and assessments across ages.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee departmental operations within the CGH Clinics.
  • Coordinate with clinic staff and Administration to ensure continuity of patient care.
  • Perform Clinic RN responsibilities in addition to supervisory duties.
  • Facilitate staffing issues and communicate needs to management.
  • Update missed punches, travel logs, and monitor nursing staff overtime.
  • Manage rotating holidays, NC/Coverage, LC/Illness, and attendance.
  • Carry out level 1 disciplinary notices.
  • Oversee PAR levels for medical and office supplies.
  • Assist with candidate screening and select top candidates for manager roles.
  • Serve as a resource on policies and procedures.
  • Lead department huddles and provide standardized staff education.
  • Meet weekly with the manager and attend monthly meetings.
  • Coordinate new employee orientation with the Clinical Educator.
  • Review and update departmental checklists and completion of float checklists.
  • Provide meeting agendas, record minutes, and distribute them to staff.
  • Assist with onboarding new providers, ordering supplies, scheduling and templates.
  • Maintain accurate provider out schedules.
  • Assist Administration with NRC feedback investigations and follow-up.
  • Pull phone, missing charge, and other operational reports.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the manager.

Job description

Requirements
  • Current Illinois Registered Nurse Licensure required.
  • In-depth working knowledge of current concepts, principles and procedures used in patient care within clinic care setting.
  • Clear understanding and use of PCIS and EMR; keeps UTD on changes and communicates them to staff.
  • Three years previous Medical Office experience preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of medical equipment and instruments preferred.
  • Prior experience in drawing blood is preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge preferred.
  • BLS Required within 30 days of hire (ACLS required for Oral Surgery).
  • Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding is preferred.
  • Demonstrates ability to document patient needs and assessments.
  • Demonstrates knowledge necessary to provide care appropriate to any age-related needs of the patients served in the physician office.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the patient population served.
  • Able to assess and interpret data about the patient’s status to identify each patient’s needs and provide appropriate care, including age-related care, for pediatric, adolescent and/or geriatric patient groups.
