Henry Ford Health System offers a Best Choice/MISS float pool in Michigan. The System Float Labor & Delivery RN is a contingent role with 72 hours per month and Day shifts available.

Nurses float to multiple locations to cover staffing needs, gaining exposure to diverse clinical settings while maintaining flexible scheduling and minimal commitment. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Nursing or are graduates of an accredited nursing program, with 2–3 years of relevant experience and the

System Float Labor & Delivery RN
Contingent- 72 hours per month

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, demonstrates ability to handle nursing problems and, in general, an expanded group of nursing practices. Performs nursing intervention across a variety of nursing situations. Identifies patient problems prior to explicit changes in patient-specific data collection (such as vital signs).

Best Choice/MISS is a system-wide, contingent, float pool which offers the opportunity for an RN to work in a variety of settings throughout Henry Ford Health. Nurses working with us have the unique benefit of being exposed to various settings throughout Henry Ford Health because they float to where staffing needs are identified. This may be ongoing to fill an employee's hours that is on a leave of absence, call-ins, increase of census or to cover vacation requests.BestChoice/MISS offers flexibility, which allows an RN work-life balance, as your schedule is based around how often you want to work and requires minimal commitment.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Two to three (2-3) years of recent related clinical nursing experience in the area of practice and a demonstrated level of performance required.
• Willingness to float to multiple locations.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.

• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.

Current BLS

Current ACLS, NRP, C-EFM (Inteleos or NCC)
