Job summary

Miami Valley Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the MED SURG WEIGHT LOSS unit. This full-time night shift (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) on a 72-hour pay cycle offers a sign-on bonus for eligible candidates and the chance to work with an interdisciplinary team to promote best patient outcomes.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN is required or must be obtained within 5 years of hire with proof of enrollment within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Graduation from accredited school of nursing.
• BSN is required or must be obtained within 5 years of hire with proof of enrollment within 6 months.
• Valid Ohio RN license and current AHA BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the MED SURG WEIGHT LOSS unit.

Position: Registered Nurse (RN)Department: MED SURG WEIGHT LOSSShift: Full Time 7p - 7:30a / 72 Hours per PayLocation: Miami Valley Hospital***Sign-On Bonus***The clinical nurse (CN) functions in a multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of Nursing. The CN is responsible for maintaining high standards for a caseload of patients as described by the scope of care for the area of practice and demonstrates appropriate actions based on sound scientific research and evidence-based principles. The CN also coordinates/directs care delivered by the interdisciplinary team. The CN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures. The CN provides physical, emotional and spiritual support that directly/indirectly impacts the patient outcomes and care provided to patients/ families/ significant others.Education: Graduation from accredited school of nursing; BSN required or must obtain within 5 years of hire.
