Job summary

Mercy seeks a registered nurse to provide patient-centered care using the nursing process across assigned patients. You will coordinate with other departments, uphold patient rights and confidentiality, and uphold Mercy Service Standards.

Ideal candidates hold an RN license in the hiring state (or compact licensure) and have completed a nursing program (AD, Diploma, or BSN). Certification in BLS and other unit-specific credentials may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed; must meet state board requirements.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, BLS, PALS, PEARS, STABLE, C-EFM or other unit-specific certifications may be required depending on position/unit.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Performs duties consistent with Mercy mission, values, and Service Standards.
