Qualifications

• RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure must be maintained.
• Graduated from a school of nursing (AD, Diploma, or BSN).
• Certifications as required by unit/position (BLS at minimum; other certifications may be required).

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care and maintains accountability for care of assigned patients.
• Evaluates overall effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers and coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality in accordance with Mercy standards.
