Job summary

AdventHealth in Ocala, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse with expertise in charge capture and documentation within the OR/Cath Lab environment. This role supports accurate charge entry and MD/department communications, ensuring efficient revenue integrity.

A solid foundation in electronic medical records and clinical documentation is essential. The position requires RN licensure, with preferred CBCS certification and strong proficiency in Excel and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electronic medical record [Required]
• Computer proficiency including Excel and Word [Required]
• Good organizational skills [Required]
• Knowledge of Surgical/CathLab supplies and products [Required]
• Charge capture and experience with inventory and supply purchase [Preferred]

Responsibilities

• Identifies potential resolutions to problems identified in data collection.
• Audits procedural charges and clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Educates staff on issues related to charging and documentation.
• Communicates with department management, staff, and others regarding charge and documentation issues.
• Ensures accurate and efficient charge capture and documentation practices.
• Manages charge entry for OR/Cardiac Cath procedures.
• Provides back-up support to staff as needed.
• Updates charge description master (CDM) charges as directed.
• Processes purchase orders for implants and batches charges for all devices.
• Prices and releases manual charges.
• Supplies monthly reports regarding charge problems to the department director.
• Other duties ad assigned
