Job Summary

The position is a full‑time RN at Trinity Health Livonia, scheduled 36 hours per week with 12‑hour night shifts, including weekend rotation and holiday commitment. It is located in Livonia, MI.

Unit Description

This 40‑bed Progressive Care Unit specializes in postoperative care for a variety of surgical patients, including bariatric procedures, joint replacements, hip fractures, bowel obstructions, cholecystitis, and more. The telemetry‑equipped unit provides continuous cardiac monitoring and can manage cardiac drips. Nurses are skilled in wound and drain care, pain management, and delivering comprehensive recovery support in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include coordination and evaluation of care, teaching and delegation of patient activities to other health‑care team members via therapeutic use of self, using the nursing process, and maintaining the therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; Associate’s degree in Nursing required.
• BSN degree preferred or must agree in writing to obtain a BSN within five years.
• Current RN licensure in the State of Michigan required.
• BLS required.
• Previous medical‑surgical experience preferred.
• Computer proficiency and excellent customer‑service skills.
