Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; Associates degree in Nursing required.
• Current RN licensure in Michigan required; BLS required.
• Experience in medical-surgical units preferred; strong customer service and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• The RN is accountable for patient care management during a designated shift.
• Coordinate and evaluate care, teach, and delegate activities to the health care team.
• Apply nursing process within the clinical environment to ensure patient safety.

3 South: This 40-bed Progressive Care Unit provides specialized care for stroke patients, along with other complex conditions such as congestive heart failure (CHF), NSTEMI, acute kidney injury (AKI), hypertension, and atrial fibrillation. This telemetry-equipped unit offers continuous cardiac monitoring and has the capability to manage cardiac drips and stable ventilator patients. Nurses in this unit are highly skilled in neurological assessments, cardiac care, and delivering comprehensive treatment in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

SUMMARY: The Registered Nurse is accountable for the management of patient care during a designated timeframe.The responsibilities include coordination and evaluation of care, teaching and delegation of patient activities to the other health care team members via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, and the environment.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; Associates degree in Nursing required. BSN degree preferred or must agree in writing to obtain a BSN within five years.Current RN licensure in the State of Michigan required. BLS required. Previous medical surgical experience preferred. Must be computer proficient and have excellent customer service skills.
