Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Surgical Inpatient Unit. This part-time role is 24 hours per week with mid-shift hours (10:30am-11pm) and a benefits-eligible package including a sign-on bonus for external candidates.

The RN will provide direct, comprehensive nursing care from admission to discharge, functioning as a vital on-shift team member to support patients, families, and colleagues in a high-acuity surgical setting.

Job Duties

In this role, the RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge. The Registered Nurse will function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers.

About the Unit

Surgical Inpatient Services also known as SIPS is a 32-bed unit specializing in inpatient care for post-surgical patients. LPNs and RNs work with a variety of surgical patients including total joint replacements, bariatric surgeries, and care for higher acuity cases such as post-surgical vascular and thoracic patients. The unit also accepts post-operative admissions originating from areas such as the emergency room or a physician's office. SIPS is a wonderful unit for New Graduate LPNs and RNs who want exposure to a wide variety of patients.
