Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the 3AC Medical Inpatient Unit. This part-time role covers 24 hours per week in a mid-shift (11am–11pm) schedule with every 4th weekend commitments on an inpatient medical-surgical unit in New Albany, IN.

Current Indiana RN license and BLS are required. The unit emphasizes patient- and family-centered care, with a focus on teamwork and excellence in nursing services. A sign-on bonus is offered for eligible external candidates.

Qualifications

• Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
• Experience in medical-surgical or inpatient care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct comprehensive nursing care from admission to discharge.

Job Duties

In this role, the RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge. The Registered Nurse will function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers.

About the Unit

The Medical Inpatient Unit, also known as 3AC, is a 44-bed medical-surgical unit that pilots new ideas for the hospital. Nurses will care for a wide range of medical diagnosis and conditions. The Innovation Unit serves as a wonderful opportunity for new graduate LPN and RNs to start nursing careers and is complimented by seasoned nurses who share their expertise.

• Self-Scheduling Every 3rd weekend rotation for NA’s and every 4th weekend requirement for nurses
• Work 1 summer and 1 winter holiday ONLY
