Job Overview

Perioperative RN position at Scripps Mercy Hospital – San Diego: full‑time, 12‑hour day shift (6:30 am–7:00 pm) with call shifts. This role offers an incentive of $4 K and a relocation incentive of $3 K for eligible new hires. Working in a busy, close‑knit Surgery Department, the RN provides direct patient care within the scope of their practice, including assessment, planning, implementation of care plans, and evaluation of patient progress, under supervision of the Care Team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the operating rooms.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans and progress toward expected outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.
• Work within the 12 Operating Room Suites for trauma, orthopedics, spine, urology, bariatrics, plastics, robotics, and general surgery.

Qualifications – Required

• One year recent RN experience in the operating room.
• California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Registered Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association provider).
• Proficiency in speaking, reading, and following instructions in English.
• Ability to demonstrate positive behaviors in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional nursing degree (Bachelor’s).
• Two or more years OR experience.
• Scrubbing experience.
• Trauma Level 1 experience.
• Cardiac experience.
• Previous OR Charge experience.
• EPIC system experience.
• PeriOp 101 course.
• Well‑rounded experience in all service lines.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range: $59,160 – $85,680 per year (California residents). Incentive: $4 K. Relocation incentive: $3 K. This is a full‑time position with benefits.
