Job description

Join Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus where research and surgery are advanced, technology is leading-edge, patient care is world class and caregivers are family.
Cleveland Clinic’s General OR is a dynamic, team-focused surgical environment that cares for patients undergoing a wide range of complex procedures, including GI, colorectal, oncology, bariatric, endocrine, transplant, and other advanced surgeries. Cases can range from two to twelve hours and include highly specialized operations such as Whipple procedures, colon and intestinal surgeries, organ transplants, and complex oncology interventions. The General/Colorectal OR is also at the forefront of surgical innovation, offering experience with both traditional multi-port and advanced single-port robotic procedures.
As an OR nurse, you will be an essential member of the surgical team, working closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and fellow caregivers to deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care throughout every stage of surgery. Responsibilities include preparing and supporting patients before surgery, maintaining a safe and organized sterile environment, assisting during procedures, advocating for patients while they are under anesthesia, and providing education and communication to patients and families. Cleveland Clinic supports both experienced nurses and new graduates through a comprehensive perioperative orientation program, along with ongoing education and specialty training to promote professional growth and long‑term career success.
