Job summary

vTech Solution is seeking a Registered Nurse for the General Operating Room to provide skilled nursing care during surgical procedures, ensure patient safety, and support interdisciplinary teams. The RN will prepare the OR environment, assist surgeons, monitor patients intraoperatively, and maintain perioperative certifications.

This role requires an active OH RN license, 3+ years OR experience, BLS and ACLS, and proficiency with the Epic EMR system.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the surgical environment, ensuring sterility and safety.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care before, during, and after surgery.
• Participate in a rotating call schedule including weekday and weekend coverage.
• Float to affiliated surgery centers as needed to support staffing requirements.
• Document patient care and surgical events accurately in the Epic EMR system.
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols in the OR setting.

This role involves preparing the OR environment, assisting surgical teams, monitoring patients intraoperatively, and collaborating with interdisciplinary staff. The RN is expected to demonstrate expertise in perioperative nursing and maintain certifications relevant to advanced life support.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain the surgical environment for procedures, ensuring sterility and safety.
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams during operations by providing necessary instruments and support.
• Monitor patient vital signs and condition throughout surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care before, during, and after surgery.
• Participate in a rotating call schedule including weekday and weekend coverage.
• Float to affiliated surgery centers as needed to support staffing requirements.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Ohio.
• Minimum of 3 years recent experience in an Operating Room setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Proficiency in Epic Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience with robotic surgery, neurological, and orthopedic procedures.

Special Considerations:

• Participation in a rotating call schedule, including weekday and weekend shifts.
• Holiday call rotation may be required depending on assignment timing.
• Flexibility to float to other surgery centers within the healthcare system as needed.

Scheduling:

• Four 10-hour day shifts per week, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
• Shift assignments and call schedules are based on patient census and staffing needs, with possible variability.
