Job summary

vTech Solution is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for the Operating Room to provide patient-focused care and collaborate with the surgical team to achieve optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities include evaluating patient needs, planning and implementing care, documenting accurately, and participating in continuing education to uphold high standards of care.

On-call duties may apply; shifts are three 12-hour blocks with day and night rotations.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience.
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate and complete medical documentation.

This role requires strong clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition, effective communication skills, and adherence to core measure responsibilities. Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• ACLS certification.
• Experience or certification in Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Cardiac Services, Emergency Room (ER), Recovery Room (PACU), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), or related specialties.
• Specialty certifications such as OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) or NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
• Experience in cardiac catheterization, interventional imaging, or other specialized procedural areas.

Special Considerations:

• On-call duties as required.
• Strict no block scheduling policy; shift assignments cannot be guaranteed.
• Work environment includes high-acuity areas such as OR, ICU, ER, and specialty units.
• Must adhere to hospital policies regarding patient safety, infection control, and professional conduct.

Scheduling:

• Work schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts per week.
• Shift assignments include day and night rotations as determined by department needs.
• Flexibility required to accommodate on-call responsibilities.
