Job summary

Avant Rehabilitation & Care Center is seeking an experienced RN Supervisor to support the DON and ADON and oversee weekend nursing operations at our Trenton, NJ facility. This role focuses on leading and teaching nursing staff while ensuring high-quality resident care.

The position requires an NJ RN license and 2+ years in long-term care with managerial experience preferred. Join our team for a supportive, team-focused environment in a facility with strong values.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON and ADON to evaluate and direct day-to-day functions of the Nursing Department in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the Facility.
• Ensure that all nursing services personnel are following their respective job descriptions.
• Participate in facility surveys (inspections) by government agencies as requested by the DON and ADON.
• Make daily rounds of the Nursing Services Department to ensure that nursing service personnel meet standards.

RN Supervisor Responsibilities & Duties

• Assist the DON and ADON to evaluate, and direct day-to-day functions of the Nursing Department in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the Facility.
• Ensure that all nursing services personnel are following their respective job descriptions.
• Participate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies as requested by the DON and ADON.
• Make daily rounds of the Nursing Services Department to ensure that all nursing service personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.

RN Supervisor Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid RN License in the State of New Jersey
• A minimum of 2 years of progressive nursing in Long Term Care with managerial experience is preferred
• Proven leadership and management skills
• Must be able to work in Trenton, NJ
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
