Job summary

Advocate Health's Cabarrus Vascular Access Team seeks a dedicated registered nurse to provide direct patient care on a 36-hour weekly schedule, including nights. The role emphasizes collaboration with multiple disciplines, autonomy, and compassionate patient care across inpatient and outpatient areas.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• BSN or currently enrolled in BSN program.
• RN license issued by the practicing state.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Chemo/Bio course within 3-4 months of hire.
• VABC not required but encouraged after 2 years on team.
• Experience with PIV placements.

Responsibilities

• Support management to enhance nursing practice and service delivery.
• Assist with interview, selection, and supervision of nursing personnel.
• Coordinate shift communications and staff huddles for information exchange.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state healthcare regulations and policies.
• Conduct rounds to assess patient care, staff satisfaction, and department operations.
• Delegate care tasks to appropriate healthcare workers per policy.
• Identify outcomes to guide continuity of care and operations.
• Evaluate progress toward goals and disseminate information to teammates.
• Perform nursing care, assist with treatments, therapies, procedures, and medications.
• Coordinate patient flow and staffing through ongoing assessment of needs.
