Job summary

Regency At Whitmore Lake in Michigan is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to lead and coordinate resident care on assigned shifts. The role requires supervising LPNs, CNAs, and other staff, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards.

You will assess care plans, direct teamwork, and promote safety and quality in daily operations. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of nursing experience in long-term or sub-acute care and holds an active RN license with CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Current state license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• CPR certification (or within 90 days of employment).
• Minimum 1–2 years of nursing experience in long-term or sub-acute care.

Responsibilities

• Supervises LPNs, Medication Aides, CNAs/STNAs and other staff providing direct care
• Plans, assigns, and directs work in alignment with resident needs and staff capabilities
• Prepares work assignments, adjusting for staffing levels and resident safety
• Receives staffing-related calls and arranges replacements as needed
• Transfers employees among units per staffing demands
• Completes performance evaluations and provides input on hiring, disciplining, or terminating staff
• Adjusts break schedules and resolves staff concerns
• Oversee unit operations during absence of higher-level management
• Use independent judgment in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
