Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervises LPNs and Nursing Assistants on the unit.
• Provides nursing care and treatments per RN scope, including assessments and wound care.
• Administers medications and reconciles controlled substances.
• Schedules and reports diagnostic tests; documents results with physicians.
• Maintains medical records: vital signs, weights, intake/output.
• Monitors and reports adverse drug reactions.
• Provides orientation/precepts new staff.
• Ensures infection control and HIPAA compliance.
• Prevents patient elopement and ensures safety.
