Job summary

University City Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking an RN Supervisor to lead nursing operations across shifts. This full-time or part-time role emphasizes regulatory compliance, staff leadership, and high-quality resident care in a PHILADELPHIA-area facility.

Responsibilities include supervising care, monitoring residents, and ensuring compliance with physician orders and policies. PA RN license and BLS CPR are required, with at least 2 years of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered active RN license in PA.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Ability to manage care for multiple patients in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Minimum of 2+ years of nursing experience in a healthcare setting.
• No previous supervisory experience required; training will be provided.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with staff, residents, families, and regulatory agencies.
• Strong knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and applicable laws, regulations, and standards in nursing care centers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing care activities to ensure residents receive safe, effective, and timely care.
• Provide clinical oversight and support to nursing staff during assigned shifts.
• Monitor resident conditions and ensure appropriate interventions are implemented and documented.
• Ensure compliance with physician orders, care plans, and facility policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, residents, and family members regarding changes in condition or care needs.
• Assist in managing multiple residents and prioritize care based on clinical urgency.
• Support adherence to all applicable nursing regulations, safety standards, and facility guidelines.
• Promote a positive work environment through teamwork, communication, and professional leadership.
