Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is hiring an RN Supervisor to join the leadership team in the Operating Room (OR).

Location: Virginia Beach, VA

Work Shift: Rotating Full-Time (40 hrs) – rotating schedule

Job Description

The RN Supervisor leads the nursing unit(s) in the OR, supporting the manager in overseeing all patient care activity. Responsibilities include ensuring high standards of care, coordinating daily nursing activities, facilitating communication between medical teams, training, mentoring, and evaluating clinical staff, managing patient care assignments, resolving patient and family concerns, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and safety regulations, assisting with staffing decisions, maintaining inventory of medical supplies, and ensuring the unit is properly equipped to provide quality care.

Education

• BSN required

Certification

• Virginia or compact multistate RN (Registered Nurse) license in good standing

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience in the OR required
• 1 year leadership experience in the OR required
