Job summary

Sentara Health Plans in Woodbridge, VA is seeking an OR Unit Coordinator for the First (Days) shift. This full-time role requires a BSN, VA RN license, and BLS, with 18 months of RN experience and 2 years of OR experience preferred.

You will provide clinical leadership in the OR, lead safety and quality initiatives, and help develop staff while aiming to improve workflow and patient care.

Qualifications

• BSN is required with VA RN licensure and BLS certification.
• Minimum 18 months RN experience required with 2 years OR experience preferred.
• Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice and provides clinical leadership in the OR unit.
• Leads safety and quality initiatives and supports staff development.

Responsibilities

Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.
