Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing with a preferred Bachelor’s degree.
• Current RN license to practice in Washington, DC; BLS required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive acute care experience, including supervision and management of a specific area.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff and coordinate shift coverage.
• Promote smooth transitions between on-coming and off-going shifts to optimize unit operations.
• Implement staffing plans and efforts to reduce overtime; provide staff education and ensure follow-through of operations.
• Support mentoring, orientation, and leadership development within the nursing team.
