Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a supervisor and provider of care at the point of care within a unit. You will supervise nursing staff, coordinate patient care, and ensure adherence to clinical practice guidelines.

The ideal candidate has a BSN, an active RN license in the state of practice, BLS certification, and 1 year of RN experience or 2 years as an LPN in acute care. You will collaborate with unit leadership to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN license in state of practice (required).
• BLS certification from American Heart Association (required).
• 1 year of relevant RN experience, or 2 years as an LPN in an acute care setting (required).
• Ability to supervise and coordinate care across licensed nurses and patient care technicians.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications, starts IVs, and discharges patients with the healthcare team.
• Organizes, plans, and supervises coordinated patient care within the unit.
• Supervises, develops, and evaluates unit staff and technicians.
• Promotes nursing protocols and evidence-based practice.
• Manages conflict and collaborates with supervisors and leaders as needed.
• Supports daily clinical operations including scheduling and supplies.
